Asian Research Center for Housing(ARCH) is delighted to announce the first Southeast Asia Housing Forum.
ARCH, formed in 2008, is a research center for housing studies of Southeast Asia. By holding the first SoutheastHousing Forum, ARCH attempts to facilitate global joint research of Southeast Asia and further on to exchange theknowledge of Southeast Asian housing studies.
Southeast Asian countries have commonalities in the aspect of the geographical, climatic, and historical context. Onthe other hand, ethnic and religious diversities allow each country to shape its own unique housing culture. Crossculturalresearch between Southeast Asia countries is highly valued to integrate their research findings. Therefore,2011 Southeast Asian Housing Forum will provide a platform where information can be shared and discussed toenhance the academic performance on the overall housing studies of Southeast Asia.
ARCH cordially invites papers for presentation at 2011 Southeast Asia Housing Forum. A set of selected papers thathave been referred by an international board of reviewers will be presented and published as a book form after theforum. The invited authors will be fully sponsored to participate the forum. All participants will have an opportunity tojoin the network for future global research and education programs.
The Asian Research Center for Housing (ARCH) is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 1st South East Asian Housing Forum (SEAFORUM 2011) which will be held on October 6-7, 2011, at Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea. The SEAFORUM 2011 aims to support the research for Southeast Asian Housing.
In keeping with the theme – ‘Commonality & Diversity in Southeast Asian Housing; Search for New Identity’ – the content of this Forum is broadly divided into 3 sub-themes namely Vernacular House, Modern Housing Typologies and Housing Marketing of Southeast Asia.
