Global Housing Leadership (GHL) Programs


Graduate course

The GHL program at a graduate level consists of different chapter of Asia, and each chapter emphasizes designated countries and culture. The special courses in a predetermined period are selected with discretion and allow students to enrich both knowledge and practice.

Undergraduate course

Students are privileged to participate in the GHL program so as to develop distinct qualities of global housing leaders. The GHL program contains two tracks specializing in Asia, and each track runs its own program with various periods and unique teaching mediums.

Track I: Residential Design (RD)

The focus of this track is on vernacular housing and typologies of Asian countries, and graduate students during any degree program can participate in carrying out a residential design project of a selected nation throughout academic course. Track II: Residential Property Development and Management (RPDM)

The focus of this track is on vernacular housing and typologies of Asian countries, and graduate students during any degree program can participate in carrying out a residential design project of a selected nation throughout academic course. Jan. 2008 (2 weeks): 'International Housing Programme (IHP)' by the Center of Urban Planning and Environment Management (CUPEM) of the University of Hong Kong (HKU)
Jan. to April in 2009 (16 weeks): [3+1 & 7+1 Program] 'Southeast Asia Housing Programme' in the Department of Architecture of the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia, annual program
Dec. 2009 to Jan. 2010 (4 weeks): 'International Residential Property Development and Management Program (IRPDMP)' by the School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPACE) and Department of Urban Planning and Design (DUPAD) of the University of Hong Kong (HKU)
Jan. to April in 2010 (16 weeks): [3+1 & 7+1 Program] 'Southeast Asia Housing Programme' in the Department of Architecture of the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia, annual program
